Sessions are approximately $18/session, or for $180 you can be pre-registered for the whole year and support our high school education.

Join us in February 2026 for Jewish Identity and Visual Expression with Stacy La Mell, Youth Community Director at NSSBE. Jewish Identity & Visual Expression is a two-session studio seminar for high school students that explores Jewish identity, historical memory, and public expression through text and material culture.

Using the Purim story as a central case study, students will examine themes of visibility, courage, diaspora life, and Jewish self-presentation across time. Guided discussion and historical framing will anchor the program, with creative work serving as a method of interpretation rather than an end in itself.

Students will translate these ideas into a thoughtfully designed visual or wearable piece that reflects Jewish values, literacy, and intentional symbolism.
